Welcome to Christopher A. Brooks's Dungeons and Dragons Internet site. Based in Saskatoon, Saskachewan Canada, this site boasts many great links to programs around the world. I can be reached via e-mail at aa499@sfn.saskatoon.sk.ca. Please feel free to write with any comments you have regarding this page. If you wish to recieve automatic updates of this page via e-mail, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page (courtesy of NetMind). I'm always looking for new graphics and links for this page -- so if you're an artist who has some original work, e-mail me and we can discuss, and feel free to send me links ot other pages..
As this page may change, please continue to visit, or perhaps bookmark now. Realise that many of the files and links from this page are on other systems, so I will not be able to offer technical support if they are not working. Please e-mail me if you find a link or file that doesn't work, and I'll be sure to include that in next update. Listed below are some titles which have been trademarked by TSR Inc. They are used in this web page and many sub pages without permission. This is not intended to challenge their trademark claims.
AD&D, Advanced D&D, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Adventure Vision, Al-Qadim, Battlesystem, D&D, Dark Sun, DM, Dragon, Dragon Strike, Dragonlance, Dungeon Master, Dungeon, Dungeons & Dragons, Endless Quest, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Monstrous Compendium, Polyhedron,Ravenloft, RPGA, Spelljammer, TSR, TSR Hobbies, World of Greyhawk, Player's Option™: Skills and Powers
Throughout the years I've played in several games, and guided a hundredfold more. I've created and collected many different utilities for the AD&D game. Everyone needs a character sheet, and I've created three - a Microsoft Word for Windows version 2.0 normal character sheet, and Player's Option: Skills & Powers character sheet, in addition to one MS-DOS ASCII normal character sheet. I've also creates another Microsoft Word for Windows document, to hold your Wizard or Priest spells, for quick refrence. Another great Internet resource out there, that I am proud to say I am involved with, is the The Gallery Of Magical Blades. I have edited this document for just over a year, and found amazing response and support. It boasts over 300 different magically bladed weapons -- over 125 pages of edited documentation.
I'm also really interested in Runes, and have found that they have enhanced the magic system used in Dungeons & Dragons immensly. Use runic fonts in printing out theives messages, scroll contents, treasure maps, and even religous activities -- the uses are near endless. I've also found Runic graphics for the seven days of the week (in Anglo Saxon Runes - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Available for download from this page are the following fonts (please note that all fonts are in Windows True Type format unlesss noted otherwise):

To use many of the utlities, and view much of the information on this site (and the sites in which it links to), you must have a few utilities. You must be able to unarchive files which were archived with pkzip, and you must be able to view files in Microsoft Word for Windows Format. If you're running either Windows 3.x, Windows 95, or Windows NT, please look up Winzip's Home Page for an excellent unarchiver. Also, if you're running Windows 95, and have WordPad installed (the default), you will be able to open up all Microsoft Word for Windows version 6.0 files -- note, you can not open up the Word for Windows version 2.0 files! For this you need a special Word Viewer from Microsoft. It is available for Windows 95 and Windows 3.x. There is a commercial version of Word for Windows out for the Macintosh, but there is presently no free viewer.
TSR Inc. has been gained fame through the Dungeons & Dragons gameing systems. There are many ways to reach, including many non-postal ways. Also, before creating and submitting a work that's for the Dungeons & Dragons game, please see their online policy letter (Revised 1996). TSR Inc. has a full web site now at http://www.tsrinc.com.
The Internet is probably a Role-Player's
greatest tool -- next to his own imagination of course. Often,
when home town players are scarce, Dungeons & Dragons
campains are run via e-mail. Irony Games holds a Play-By-e-Mail News page, and
there is at least one other Play-By-Mail
Gameing page out there. There are also several Usenet Newsgroups
which deal with Dungeons & Dragons, IRC Servers so that you
can play real time (see Maldacor's
Wizards Tower), and even more mailing lists. If a mailing
list is unoperational and you know about it, please inform me so
that I can remove it from future updates of this page (Note, if
you live in North America, check out the
North American Gaming
Club List for a listing of face to face games running near
you!).
Have you created your own gaming world on the web? Well many of us have, or would at least like to, and are interested in what's been done, and what we can piggyback off of. (Note, if you want your D&D campain page added to this list, please e-mail me).
As the desire for information increases, and people grow hot in their discussions of the inner workins fo the Dungeons & Dragons game, vast tomes of information are required to hold their works. Often called "Net.Books", these books have been created by the people on the Internet, for the people on the Internet -- free of charge. Please note that because different word processors are running on different platforms, many of the Net.Books may be difficult to open. If the version is known, it will be give, along with the editors name, and the word processor type (in parenthasis).
As online time can be expensive at its cheapest, people tend to write alot of programs for their home computers. Below you will fins a few of these programs, the author(s) name will be given, along with the version number (if known), any special requirments, and the operating system it was written for.
Irony Games is perhaps the larges company out there that makes online fantasy role playing utilities available to viewers for free. They have a varity of map "generators" which are easily accessible and customizable. Irony Games can be contacted at http://www.irony.com. Below is a listing of some of their excellent programs:

Though Irony Games is perhaps the largest, they're not the only ones out there doing interactive web tools. Check the sites below for other great Fantasy Role-Playing online tools.
Well, free stuff is great, but you should see some of the non-free stuff out there -- it's really great! Below is a listing of some sites that either sell TSR Inc. goods, or sell RPG and D&D related softwares. It's small right now, but I'm sure it will grow!
And last but not least -- the links. ftp.mpgn.com is the
only TSR Inc authorised distributer of Dungeons & Dragons
information (because logons are very limited, it has an HTML
directory source, so you can find what you want before
actually going to the site). The Gallery
Of Magical Blades has it's own home page, as does the Tome of
the Damned. Ezra Van Everbroeck maintains a great site
entitled The
Great Net.Book Archive, and if you want to read new rules and
suggestions sent out by players, Olik maintains a great Other Writings
site. A place to
mourn dead characters can be found at the Character
Mortuary, and the Internet
Role Playing Society (of which I am a member), is a great
place to visit if you're new to gameing on the Internet.
